1st political killing in NL

Just a week before the election of members of parliament, the controversial Pim Fortuyn, leader of the party that bares his name, was shot at least six times outside a radio studio in Hilversum(NL).
This happened about 6pm local time. He has not survived the attack.
This is the first political killing in the history of the democracy in the Netherlands. It’s not sure what the consequences will be of this political murder for the upcoming elections.
